Nicolas Cage stars in this fantasy adventure set in the Middle Ages. As the Black Plague ravages 14th-century Europe, a brave knight (Cage) is assigned to transport a suspected witch (Claire Foy) to the trial in which she stands accused of using sorcery to invoke the pandemic. Believing that the allegations against her are false, Behman and a group of wary followers fight through a mystical and treacherous landscape to take her to a remote monastery where her innocence can be proved, and the curse of the plague can be lifted. But on arrival, even darker forces await them. Ron Perlman and Christopher Lee co-star.
